Summer's in Full Swing!

Alex has really been enjoying summer so far!

The Fourth of July down in DC was very WET! It rained 75 % of the time, but stopped just in time for the fireworks. Although the rain was miserable, we were grateful that it was not sweltering hot - especially when we walked miles to the next Metro stop when the elevator was not working and the lines were too long at the Capitol South stop. We didn't get home until 1:30 am! Alex was a delight - he slept during the whole journey home!

Last weekend, we took Alex to the beach for the first time! He didn't like the water too much, I think it was a little too cold. The waves were way too strong because of Hurricane Bertha out in Bermuda, so we didn't spend too much time in the water - just enough to get a few pictures and video!

He's been having a blast at daycare on "Splash Days". The main lady says he and another girl enjoy it the most and they end up soaked! It doesn't surpise me because he really enjoys bathtime.

At the end of last month he began calling Chris "Daddy". He had been saying it, but not with any real meaning. Still no "Mommy" though! He'll also say "woof" and almost "thank you". He continues to love Pat-a-Cake, Peek-a-Boo, and So Big.

Alex Moves to the Toddler Room!

I've added some more pics to the slideshow and I added video of Alex eating his cake at his birthday party. He had such a great time! I'll be adding more video of him eating cake and his first few steps, which he took May 14th.

Last weekend I ran out to the store and got Alex a kiddie pool. He loves it, he splashes around and plays with his toys. He doesn't dare step out of the pool though, he's afraid of the grass!

This coming week he is totally moved to the toddler room at daycare. Last week he was transitioning. He has much more fun with the big kids and they even go outside to play! By the time he gets home he's pooped!

The First Blog

Alex just turned ONE! Boy did he have a great birthday. He had lots of cake and got lots of toys! He loves his new slide! Also, Alex really enjoyed birthday balloons!

I'm excited to begin this blog. I hope to keep up with it! I mainly wanted to be able to share video with everyone. Hope you enjoy!
